Daastan exists because talent has never been the scarce thing in Pakistan — access has. A writer with a finished manuscript and no contacts had nowhere obvious to take it, and we set out to be that place.
We handle a book end to end: editing, cover and interior design, an ISBN from our own registered block, printing, and distribution to bookshops and online. Royalties are paid on every copy sold and tracked on a dashboard the author can open any day of the week.
A book does not end at the printer, so neither do we. Launches, literary evenings and festival appearances put our writers in front of readers, and a title stays on sale long after its publication day.

I really enjoyed this book. It was such a different and refreshing read! Each story had its own charm, and it was fun getting to explore so many perspectives. It felt like an all-rounder: engaging, well-written, and full of variety. Highly recommend it if you’re looking for something unique and enjoyable!
