A beautiful novel with the perfect setting of the society we live in and how it dictates what our priorities are.But that does not hinder Mehr to pursue what she considers the true depiction of her personality.Her skin may be dark but her heart is filled with the light of kindness and selflessness which is the true definition of beauty.It is very resentful that parents sometimes add salt to the wound when they bend down to society's pressure but I think that attitude is changing for the better.People are beginning to understand what truly matters. Mashal was a great support and they definitely have a better relationship than Lilly and Petunia.Self-centered and egoistical people like Rida and Hassan are what needs to be changed and what parents should focus on. Arham was,though predictable,the sweet ending we need to read at the end.
All in all ,a great platform for aspiring writers like Yusra baji to find the black rose among the red
